With the rapid development of space technologies, novel space activities have been emerging, further enlarging the sphere of space commercialisation and privatisation. Following the Part I of our Space Law webinar, Professor Zhao Yun, an internationally renowned scholar, will focus on the pressing issue of space debris mitigation, suggesting that space treaties are falling short of addressing new legal issues and therefore the adoption of soft law documents as well as international cooperation are much needed in order to ensure space sustainability for the long run.
