International Rule of Law is a sine qua non of international cooperation and transaction of cross-border business. An effective international legal order promotes assessment and foreseeability of legal consequences of an act or omission, and they are two important elements of the rule of law. The preservation of it is even more important in the current troubled world.

Esteemed stakeholders from the legal, academic and business sectors will be gathered in this Colloquium to discuss what an effective international legal order should encompass and how it is to be maintained and strengthened.

In Panel (I), we examine how the international legal order bridges international business opportunities and how the threats are tackled. In Panel (II), we focus on regional cooperation which supplements and strengthens the international legal order for peaceful coexistence.
