The Role of Corporate Governance in Coping with
ESG Challenges

At the core of the 2030 Agenda are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which clearly define the world which all nations want. Corporate participation in the attainment of SDGs is indispensable. Corporations, large or small, are pleaded to take into account the ‘Environmental, Social and Governance’ (ESG) criteria and to conduct their business more responsibly. In relation to this, six Principles for Responsible Investment have been developed, offering a menu of possible action for incorporating ESG issues into corporations’ investment practice. Dr Anthony Neoh and Mr Adrian Lai are going to share their insights into the seminal role of corporate governance in principle and in practice when coping with the ESG challenges.

After all, the future depends on our feat, not fate.
