Ms PANG, Melissa BBS MH JP

Ms Melissa Pang was elected the first female President of The Law Society of Hong Kong in 2018 and re-elected in 2019 and 2020. Ms Pang currently serves as Chairperson of Standing Committee on Policy and Resources and Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Committee, and Member of Mediation Committee. She was the Founding Chairperson of International Legal Affairs Committee and Pro Bono Committee. Ms Pang is qualified to practise as a solicitor in Australia, England and Wales, and Hong Kong. She is a Notary Public, Civil Celebrant, accredited mediator, Council Member of the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited, associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators, and China Appointed Attesting Officer. Also, Ms Pang is the President-Elect of LAWASIA and Council Member of Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Ms Pang is the Chairman of the Family Council and the Hong Kong Press Council, and the Vice-Chairman of Agency for Volunteer Service. She is also the member of Operations Review Committee of the ICAC (Independent Commission Against Corruption), Hong Kong Housing Authority, and the Women’s Commission. With her devotion to public service, Ms Pang was awarded by the Hong Kong SAR Government the Medal of Honour in 2006, Justice of the Peace in 2010, and the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2020.
