UPCOMING EVENT

Despite today’s complex geopolitical and economic landscape, arbitration, mediation, and conciliation remain powerful, effective, and evolving tools for resolving international commercial and investor-State disputes.

Realised in partnership with the Asian Academy of International Law, The Hague Academy’s 4th Advanced Course in Hong Kong offers cutting-edge insights into the continued strength and adaptability of these peaceful dispute resolution methods, with a particular focus on arbitration. Renowned professors and experts will address key contemporary issues, ranging from arbitration regarding disputes in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, how mediation articulates with arbitration, corruption in and in relation to arbitration, and the role of domestic law in arbitral interpretation of contracts, to monetary interest in arbitral proceedings.
