AAIL Receiving Delegation of Lawyers from Nanjing and Suzhou, China
AAIL is pleased to welcome a delegation of over 20 lawyers from Nanjing and Suzhou of China. Mr Adrian Lai JP, Deputy Secretary-General of AAIL, and Mr Charles Zhao, Researcher at AAIL, commenced the session with an overview of AAIL’s mission and recapped some of its key achievements since its establishment in 2016. The presentation highlighted several significant initiatives, including:
• Colloquia on International Law
• Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program on International Law (Hong Kong SAR Session)
• The Hague Academy of International Law’s Advanced Course in Hong Kong
• Hong Kong Training Programme on International Law Practice
• Investment Law Training and Investor-State Mediation Training
• The CISG and International Trade Law Annual Lecture Series
Particular emphasis was placed on Hong Kong Training Programme on International Law Practice, where lawyers, senior partners, and heads of law firms from Mainland China participate in a comprehensive two-week programme, comprising a series of lectures, roundtable discussions, mock exercises, and site visits designed to provide a robust and practical learning experience. To conclude the session, AAIL presented souvenirs and publications to the delegation as a token of appreciation for their visit.
