With a specific focus on Hong Kong’s robust legal system, the third edition of the ‘Why Hong Kong’ webinar series, ‘Why Use Hong Kong Law’, presented a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the distinctive strengths of Hong Kong law in a broad spectrum of important areas. It brought to the fore Hong Kong’s long-standing rule-of-law tradition, independent and efficient judiciary comprised of specialised and eminent judges, high-calibre deal-making and dispute resolution professionals as well as internationally aligned arbitration mechanism, rendering as a whole seamless and exceptional deal-making and dispute resolution services. The event was honoured by the presence of Ms Teresa Cheng GBS SC JP, Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, the Honourable Mr Justice Jeremy Poon, Chief Judge of the High Court of the Hong Kong SAR and Mr Justin D’Agostino, CEO of Herbert Smith Freehills, along with an array of seasoned practitioners from both legal and business sectors, attracting well over 600 registrants coming from more than 40 jurisdictions all around the world.
