Asian Academy of International Law

This training session in Hong Kong constituted part of the Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program offered to a targeted group of over 40 legal professionals and government delegates from Asian and African countries. It focused on the latest development in the theory and practice of international law, covering pivotal topics such as international trade, investment law, available means for dispute resolution, global governance among others, and was led by distinguished international law scholars and practitioners. Participants not only benefited from the opportunity to receive lectures from and discuss with experienced trainers on issues concerning major international conventions and treaties, international tax reform, the online platform for dispute resolution etc, but also gained first-hand insights from guided visits to important bodies and presentations delivered by representatives from corresponding organisations, including the Department of Justice, SFC, HKIAC and OCMFA. The training session was concluded with delegates participating in the Hong Kong Forum, where they exchanged views and networked with other local and overseas attendees.
