Organisers:
Asian Academy of International Law

AAIL was invited to hold the inaugural Hong Kong session as part of the Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program that was first launched in 2015. This joint effort signified the commitment on both sides to harness strengths and promote the exchange and cooperation in international law among Asian and African countries. During this training session, delegates benefited from lectures led by prominent speakers, including Ms Elsie Leung, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong SAR Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of National People’s Congress, Mr Wesley Wong, Solicitor General of Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, and Ms Rebecca Silli, Partner of MinterEllison. Apart from the well-balanced discussions on the theoretical and practical aspects of a range of topical issues, delegates also visited organisations such as the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in the Hong Kong SAR.
