AAIL Welcomes the Government’s Initiatives in Strengthening the Hong Kong SAR’s Rule of Law under the Rubric of ‘One Country, Two Systems’
AAIL welcomes the Government’s initiatives set out in the Chief Executive’s 2021 Policy Address in developing the Hong Kong SAR into an ‘International Legal and Dispute Resolution Services Hub in the Asia-Pacific Region’.
AAIL echoes the Government’s reaffirmation of the utmost importance of the rule of law under the rubric of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ as the core value and the cornerstone of Hong Kong’s success and supports the initiatives in deepening the community’s understanding of the rule of law. As an organisation with the focus of promoting international law, AAIL shares the Government’s commitment to enhancing collaborations and exchange with international organisations and legal communities in other jurisdictions, is honoured to be involved in the upcoming Inter-Sessional meeting of UNCITRAL Working Group III and the Annual Session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation, which are two but many international legal events to be held in Hong Kong shortly after the Policy Address. AAIL looks forward to be working with other international bodies in the coming years.
