The 5th Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program on International Law (Hong Kong Session)

As entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the Academy continued to assist in organising the one-week training session in Hong Kong for over 40 delegates from Asian and African countries. Building upon the success of preceding training courses over the past several years, the 5th training session focused on dispute settlement in Asia-Pacific region, covering various topics and pertinent issues, including investment law, international law in Hong Kong, the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ framework, the Judgments Project, the procurement law and investment mediation etc. The training session also involved guided visits to a number of important governmental, legal and commercial entities, including the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR, OCMFA, HKIAC, CMG and CITIC, where the delegates benefited from the opportunity to learn more about those organisations and exchange views with representatives there. It was concluded with delegates participating in the 2019 Colloquium on International Law and the certificate awarding ceremony.
